WELCOME

Hi, I'm Mrs. Iyesomi Eigbe, the Director of the Mrs Nigeria pageant and also The Mrs. Nigeria International title holder for 2014. Id like to welcome you and thank you for taking time to go through our website. You'd have noticed by now that ours is a unique kind of pageant, we celebrate qualities that are not necessarily considered at most pageants but that's what makes us distinct. I was the title holder for Nigeria at the Mrs International competition in Florida in 2014 before becoming the director last year so let me give you a little background of what we normally look for both at the national and international level citing a bit of my credentials.

I am a wife to a wonderful, amazing and incredibly supportive man, Engr. Samuel Eigbe and a mother of a beautiful two year old sweetheart, Hermon. I started research in robotics in 2007 and  was honored with a prize for building a construction robot prototype by the Governor of Edo State at the Edo Technology Day exhibition in 2011, I like to think of myself as the first female to achieve such a feat in Nigeria and one of the first few in the field in Africa, having represented Nigeria in International Engineering(IET) competitions in Nigeria and France. I  produce and present a show for inventors on television called Technology Unlimited. I am currently promoting exclusive breastfeeding of infants for the first six months of life and extended breastfeeding for 2 years through my NGO Hermon International Foundation, which is helping to reduce infant mortality- one of the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations. I was privileged to be one of the speakers at the World Breastfeeding Week program organized by the Edo State Ministry of Health in conjunction with UNICEF in 2014 and was a guest at the Live Love Latch World breastfeeding annual celebration in Jacksonville Florida in August 2015. I was also a special guest at the Annual Edo Convention in Los Angeles California in September discussing Healthcare challenges in Edo State. This is just a brief list but you understand when we say we are celebrating the married woman's accomplishments and her ability to keep it all together successfully and still look fabulous. If you feel you have what it takes to compete,  then read on and apply. You might be the next Mrs Nigeria. We have 4 fabulous pageants in Europe and America to send our top four winners to.

We would also be looking at their overall success in career and their impact on their society and the people around them. Our award is for the most honorable married couple. The Mrs. Universe pageant started in the year 2007. The idea behind the pageant is the motto "Against violence" which in different years cover different causes. 2010 was devoted to “Women of the world against violence and human trafficking".
The idea of this international competition that would be held in Bulgaria this year, and the activities going through the whole year is that mature women, who have already achieved a lot in their life, who have built their own families, have become mothers themselves, who are independent, due to their own efforts, are the women who can truly use their beauty for the sake of a big cause.
